A video created by Spanish in the Community at the University of Florida, SPN 3948 Otoño (Fall) 2023 Dentro de la historia estadounidense, los veteranos hispanos han escrito una crónica de valentía, sacrificio y dedicación. ---Sonia M. San Juan

To those who have paved the way and those who will follow, we thank you for your service. In memory of my husband, Juan José San Juan Pereira, who served with honor in the United States Navy for over 30 years, we pay tribute to his valuable legacy. We appreciate everyone, including future members of our Armed Forces, for their service and sacrifice. This is a tribute to the past, a recognition of the present, and a sincere thank you to those who continue to defend the freedom of our nation.
